Craft+Theory Hair Studio is an upcoming project that boast a masculine-chic feeling. This space truly draws you in as soon as you open the door, with its curving staircase down toward the open reception area. The deep, bold walls that are hugged with chunky, classic style moldings create a feeling of a vintage study room. While the warm tones of the fixtures and finishes, like the brass and black wood wall sconces that flank a borque inspired mirror, are like a statement necklace to a bare neck. This vintage inspired space is not lacking in any contemporary style however; wall displays, stylist stations, and the slab custom cabinetry bring in touches of sleek, modern design.

Keeping with traditional roots, while creating a contemporary twist to keep the restaurant feeling fresh and youthful. The gold mirror subway tile lays behind a raw industrial styled wall sconce that reflects the lighting creating a sparkling effect. The use of many reflective surfaces for this smaller spaces was crucial to create the feeling of a grander space while keeping a warm feeling. Four large, over-sized mirrors were hung in certain locations to play with these light reflections from existing lighting conditions, along with the newly added. Each booth feels like its own intimate space, while still feeling like a part of the restaurant.
